 Project (Untitled)

A deeply emotional coming-of-age story about a girl who gets one last summer with her mother, falls in love for the first time, and learns that some of the most beautiful memories are the ones we never know will be our last.

She never knew what it felt like to have a father. It had always been just her and her mother, and that was enough. Until one day, she finds out that her mother has stage three cancer. Suddenly, the life she thought she understood begins falling apart, and all she can do is cry, paint, and try to hold on to every moment she has left with the person who means everything to her.
Her mother takes them to stay with her sister for the summer, hoping that when the time comes, her daughter will have a family to take care of her. What she doesn't know is that this will be the last summer she gets with her mother. In a house that feels unfamiliar and a life she never asked for, she begins finding comfort in her aunt's son. He is there when she doesn't want to talk, stays when she wants to be alone, and slowly becomes the person who makes everything feel a little less impossible.

The summer becomes a collection of moments she wishes she could keep forever. As she falls in love with him, she also watches her mother's health fade, capturing their memories in paintings because she doesn't know how else to hold on. Every brushstroke becomes a piece of her grief, every memory becomes something precious, and every moment with him reminds her that life can still be beautiful even when it hurts. She couldn't help but wonder how she was supposed to say goodbye to the woman who had been her whole world while finding the courage to keep living when she was gone.
